Given the nature of the type of work our practice specializes in, with the exception of massage and craniosacral sessions, we do not have standard fees. Often, when patients visit us, there’s a range of clinical intensity that we gauge cost on based on the severity of the issue at hand, the number of times a patient may need to come in, and what specifically needs to be done during those visits. However, we do have ranges so that individuals may know what to expect, roughly, when they see us.
First Time Consultation (in person or by phone)
No charge
Initial Comprehensive Visit
(plan for up to 90 minutes)
Begins with a thorough conversation about your health concerns, medical history, lifestyle and treatment goals. A physical examination to assess your condition, including level and location of pain, range of motion and muscle strength, orthopedic and neurological testing when indicated.
A full treatment and finally a discussed plan for continued personalized care which could include follow-up sessions and other suggestions like massage and bodywork, herbal support, stretching exercises and nutritional advice.
Full Treatment
(plan for 60 minutes)
Includes some combination of the following: acupuncture, electro acupuncture, moxibustion, chiropractic, physical therapy modalities (e-stim, ultrasound), heat/cold therapy, cupping, physical therapy exercises, quick nutritional coaching session.
Massage / Craniosacral / Reiki Session

90 Minutes $225
2 Hours $300

Insurance Billing Info:
Dr. Nancy is not a contracted provider with any network and would be considered “out-of-network.”
If you have a PPO plan which covers acupuncture and chiropractic benefits, we can submit claims on your behalf. If you are not sure if your plan covers these benefits we are happy to check for you, as well as checking the status of your yearly deductible.
If you have not met your yearly deductible, we do ask that you pay in full at the time of your visit and we can submit your claim to help satisfy meeting that deductible. If your deductible has been satisfied, we can submit your claim and depending on your plan’s coverage, we may require a copay at the time of your visit.
For Blue Shield and Cigna plans who use American Specialty Health to process acupuncture and chiropractic services, unfortunately we are not able to submit claims. For these plans you will need to pay for your visit in full and we can provide you with a Superbill that you can submit on your own either online or by mail.
Here is a list of the insurance companies we have worked with successfully over the years, followed by a list of companies we’re unable to bill successfully.
YES – PPO plans including AETNA, United Healthcare, Medicare part B (not Medicare Advantage), Anthem Blue Cross PPO plans including Motion Picture Health, Writers Guild, Directors Guild, Screen Actors Guild and AFTRA.
NO — Any HMO or EPO plan, Kaiser, HealthNet, Medicaid, Medi-Cal, Medicare Advantage or Managed Care Plans.
American Specialty Health or ASH is a 3rd party administrator used to process acupuncture and chiropractic claims for Blue Shield, Cigna and some Anthem and Aetna plans. If your plan uses ASH, we cannot submit your claims but instead can give you a superbill that you can submit for possible reimbursement.
If you do not see your company listed and you have a PPO plan that covers acupuncture and chiropractic, we’re happy to check your coverage and bill for you, although if your deductible hasn’t been met we ask that you pay in full at the time of your visit.
